    So just out of spite, I put my gun in his face.

    small porch or set of steps at the front entrance of a house
    I was with my cousin Pedro and his little sister on his stoop.
  9. stagger
    walk as if unable to control one's movements
    (staggers against the wall)
  10. subdued
    softened in tone
    (He reaches for D’MARIO again, but then stops as he realizes it’s hopeless. He repeats himself, but in a much subdued voice.)
