Margarita Engle
Margarita Engle is the author of many verse novels, memoirs, and picture books, including The Surrender Tree, Enchanted Air, and Drum Dream Girl. She was awarded a Newbery Honor and the Pura Belpré Medal in 2009, and she was the winner of the 2019 NSK Neustadt Prize for Children's Literature.
