Jean Lee Latham
Jean Lee Latham was an author who specialized in biographies for children and young adults. Her historical novel, Carry On, Mr. Bowditch, won the Newbery Medal. It was based on the life of Nathaniel Bowditch (1773–1838), a sailor and mathematician from Salem, Massachusetts.
