Padma Venkatraman
Padma Venkatraman is an American author of books for young people. She was born in Chennai in the south of India, the setting of her novel The Bridge Home. Among other accolades, Venkatraman is the recipient of the 2008 SCBWI Magazine Merit Award for Nonfiction and the winner of a Storytelling World honor for her picture book The Cleverest Thief.
