Dr. Jane Goodall was a trailblazing primatologist, conservationist, and an advocate of human, animal, and environmental rights. Among innumerable achievements, she led a decades-long mission to research and understand chimpanzees; successfully put an end to ape-testing in laboratories; founded organizations to benefit the earth, animals, and human beings; and traveled around the world to spread a message of warning but also of empathy and hope in order to heal and sustain the planet.
