Unit 4: Part 3 Vocabulary

I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep.

There are words like Liberty
That almost make me cry.

Set in the window, bringing memories
Of fruit-trees laden by low-singing rills,
And dewy dawns, and mystical blue skies
In benediction over nun-like hills.

The golden increment of bursting fruit

Not always countenance, abject and mute,
That lesser men should hold their brothers cheap

Not everlastingly while others sleep
Shall we beguile their limbs with mellow flute

My grandmother worried about my forward ways a great deal. She had known slavery and to her my brazenness was unthinkable.

Some of the stories I had reread several times, and this Greco-Roman myth was one of my favorites. I was exalted by it, and that is the way I read my paragraph.
