Donald Trump Foreign Policy Address

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump gave his first major foreign policy address on April 27, 2016. Vowing to put "America First," Trump criticized the foreign policy record of President Obama and probable Democratic nominee and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as misguided on some issues and ineffective on others.     Sadly, I was correct, and the biggest beneficiary has been has been Iran, who is systematically taking over Iraq and gaining access to their very rich oil reserves, something it has wanted to do for decades.

    He’s crippled us with wasteful spending, massive debt, low growth, a huge trade deficit and open borders.

    Our military dominance must be unquestioned, and I mean unquestioned, by anybody and everybody.

    Financial leverage and sanctions can be very, very persuasive, but we need to use them selectively and with total determination.

    He has even allowed China to steal government secrets with cyber attacks and engaged in industrial espionage against the United States and its companies.

    I will not hesitate to deploy military force when there is no alternative.

    Israel, our great friend and the one true democracy in the Middle East has been snubbed and criticized by an administration that lacks moral clarity.
