There's no way to keep something unpreventable from happening. Getting to school late is unpreventable if the bus gets a flat tire on the way there!

You can't prevent things that are unpreventable. Rain that spoils a planned beach outing, growing older, getting dizzy on an amusement park ride that spins you in a circle: all of these are unpreventable. And while some diseases are currently unpreventable, like ALS and asthma, many can be prevented by washing your hands, regularly exercising, and getting vaccinated.
