Other forms: unobstructedly
When something is unobstructed, it's clear and open, not blocked by anything. Your hotel room's unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean might make it worth paying extra for.
An unobstructed tunnel on a playground is ready to be crawled through, and an unobstructed road after a winter storm has been cleared of snow and ice. In either case, the unobstructed thing is open and unblocked. A beautiful view, not hindered by an ugly building or parking lot, is often described as unobstructed as well. The Latin roots are un, or "not," and obstructionem, "a barrier or a building up."
