Tomfoolery is foolishness. Starting a food fight in a cafeteria is an example of tomfoolery.

Tomfoolery is a silly-looking word, and it means a silly thing: foolish or ridiculous behavior. Tomfoolery is senseless behavior, like pulling pranks or being obnoxious.
