Consenting means having given your permission. Someone who has consented to something can be described as consenting.

People are often said to be consenting or not in the context of a forbidden or illegal activity. If you know that your best friend is secretly copying answers off your test, you're consenting to his cheating, whether or not you say so outright. Treaties and pacts are made between consenting parties: both sides have to agree to terms.
