Other forms: Jerusalems

Jerusalem is a Middle Eastern city with an enormous amount of religious significance for Jews, Christians, and Muslims. The oldest section of Jerusalem, known as the "Old City," is surrounded by a 16th-century stone wall.

Jerusalem is a beautiful ancient city, much of it built from white and pink stone, that's full of churches, synagogues, and mosques. It's also a politically complicated city, considered to be the capital of Israel by that nation and believed to be the occupied capital of Palestine by Palestinians. Religious pilgrims traveling to sacred sites like the Western Wall and the Tomb of King David make up a huge portion of Jerusalem's economy.
